Kia was born on 11th September 2004. RIP darling Kia 17/6/15
Line Breeding: Quando Arminius (5-5) Yago Wildsteiger Land (5-5)
My first girl from my first litter (Kia) is a lovely Black & Tan plush coat who in 2012 had the last of 3 litters.
Kia absolutely never stops wagging her tail and makes us laugh at some of the things that she does.
She loves Sheep Herding and from 2012 now that she has retired from breeding will take on the second leg of her PT title in Herding.
For a smaller structured girl she sure knows how to let the sheep know "she" is boss.
Pictured above expertly handled by a very young Joel placing 9th Junior Bitch at the GSDCA National in Victoria.
Her breed survey read:- A large, medium strong bitch of good type and proportions with a good head and expression and dark eye. Stands with a high wither, firm back and a good croup. Very good angulation of the fore and hindquarters. She shows good forechest development and a very good underline. Shows far reaching movement where the back remains firm. Firm in character and to the gun.

My foundation bitch Tierra was born 20th October 2001.
Line Breeding: "Q" Litter Arminius - Quana, Quando (5-4)
Tierra was the Grand Old Lady of the kennels and loved nothing more than a play with a squeeky toy.
She kept all the young ones in check being firm but fair.
She loved visitors and especially enjoyed coming up and sleeping on mum's bed and
had her lounge for relaxing.
You are dearly missed my darling girl - MY LADY!
Her breed survey read:- "A large, well proportioned and substantial bitch of good strength. Very good feminine head and expression. Well muscled hindquarter with very good angulation, well placed shoulder, good length of upper arm. Good underchest development. In movement displays a powerful drive with very good reach. Gun sure and excellent character.

Tierra was part of the NSW German Shepherd League Demonstration Team for many years going along to all sorts of displays...(The Sydney Royal Easter Show) was always one of our favourites along with the Pet & Animal Expo, Dogs Day Out and many many more.
Unfortunately all of the past dog members of our Demo team pictured have now departed and moved on to again meet up and enjoy each others company at "Rainbow Bridge".

Information on Pituitary Dwarfs can be found at the so called "tab
and yes it takes a Carrier to a Carrier of the gene to produce a Dwarf!!!
“Our Special Man” was born a Pituitary Dwarf and actually died twice within the first week of his life (revived with the kiss of life). He was helped with SC fluids and meds hence he was called “Spencer” in honour of you Karen Spencer who helped with this little life!
He lived quite happily with us here at Brayline without any major health concerns except those of a dwarf. I am sure he thought he was a normal big German Shepherd as he wasn’t afraid of anything or anyone.
Even though he didn’t like visitors from when he was about 12 months old, he absolutely loved his family especially my Mum June (Nanny). Spencer travelled to Victoria with us for the GSDCA Nationals when he was only a few months old. I didn’t see much of him at the dog show as everyone thought he was just the cutest little thing and spent most of the time with friends at the show being cuddled and carried around. He was certainly the hit of the show!!!
He had the funniest quirky habits and routines here at home and this house revolved around Spencer. He kept my back warm of a night under the covers and in summer he slept with his head on his own little pillow! He had his all-time favourite toys (especially his Piggy Piggy) and would sit up at the kitchen bench on the stool whilst you were cooking dinner for his little tidbits!
Unfortunately we always were under the opinion in his later life that things were not all good inside his brain as he started to become aggressive on occasions. This was managed in the house to protect family members quite successfully. He never ever went to go at me until the last couple of weeks before we had to make the decision to send him to “Rainbow Bridge”.
The grieving process has been extremely hard as I have felt so guilty sending him to Rainbow Bridge earlier than he would have liked. His health was fairly good and when Spencer was having a good day he was the “most” loving dog I have ever had the pleasure of sharing my life with. The emptiness of the house is haunting me as there are no extra special greetings when I arrive home. No special cuddles on the lounge or in bed and no more laughter at the things that he used to get up to! Taking off with my slippers was one of his favourite games along with many many others! Spencer was certainly different and my little joy!n Spencer was my child just like Braydon (I lost 2 babies after I had Braydon) and Spencer certainly filled that void for me. My Special Needs 2nd Son!!!
“Spencer”, I miss you so very much and my heart is now broken and empty now that I have lost my Special Needs Little Man! I await the day that I can see you again not in Heaven but at Rainbow Bridge (as that is where I have decided to go once I pass on). Your Grandfurmum Tierra should have been waiting at the gates for you as it isn’t long since “My Lady” grew her wings and left me also!
The love that this Special little dog had for us was unbelievable and hopefully he knew when I had to hold him to let him go to heaven that the love that I had and will always have for him will never be broken!
Farewell my “Spencer” – My Special Man. Love Mummy!!! xxoo I will always treasure the photo above that you let me capture the day that you left my life! xxx
Till we meet again my special son! I Love You!
